Training film on driving a tank, showing the M-3 light tank, and the M-3 Medium tank. Basic information on the armament, and armor of the respective tanks, I.E. number and caliber of weapons, weights, top speeds, and obstacle crossings. Displays the inner workings of the general tank, from engine to transmission, and steering. Shows the pre operation procedures under-taken by the tank crew. Including the inspection of the treads, and the fuel, and oil levels. Shows the ignition steps for the gasoline and the diesel engines, and the final tread check as the engine warms up. Watch an experienced driver maneuver and shift the tank. See the tank commander control the tank from outside with hand signals, and from within by touch signals with the foot on the drivers back, shoulders, and head.

Follow the crews of 1st platoon team A 2nd of the 11th armored Division as they prepare for operations, starting with the re-supply of rations and ammunition. Focusing on Tank 23 and there role in the upcoming operation. Notice the deployment of the guns, the first two tanks to the front, the next two alternately to the left and right, and the last tank's gun is to the rear. See the platoon assault an enemies advanced security post, as they overrun the placement, they receive artillery fire, and opposing forces tank fire. See them maneuver using the local terrain to maximum advantage. See the Mechanized infantry join up and mount the assault.
