F4H-I Phantom II Operating Procedures

Video quality is low due to changes in contrast; the video is too light or too dark in places

Explanation of the normal, ground, and flight procedures. Starting with a visual examination of the craft, and several of its switches and gauges. Including the leading and trailing edges of the wings, and the afterburner nozzles, and the intake ports. Once inside the cockpit the pre-flight check is mostly a personal or squadron set procedure, but you will want to check several things, like the generators, and the fuel gauge, and level. See the engine start, and safety procedures. Beginning the Flight operations section is an explanation of the stall warning signs, and procedures. The approach and landing pattern is discussed next, starting with the landing checklist, and the air speed, and decision points along the way. Closing out the film is the shut down, and securing of the plane.

Video quality is low due to changes in contrast; the video is too light or too dark in places

Film dedicated to the handling characteristics of this modified aircraft. Specifically the center of gravity changes depending on the location of the load outs, the rapid bleed off of speed at high angles of attack, the difference of the stall warning signs, and the ability to pull more g's per stick forces due to the slats. Ending with some pilot testimonials.
