Flight Physics - Bail out

Training film on the effects and the equipment of the pilot emergency ejection systems. Beginning with a discussion of the physics of the ejection seat and the body position, then moves on to the seat anti-tumbling mechanics whether from a parachute deploying from the seat, or immediate separation of the pilot from the seat. Next discussed is the deployment heights of the main chute, where above 30,000 feet the pilot could run out of Oxygen, or be injured by the shock of the opened chute. Discussions of the different ejection systems are covered next focusing on the seat-man separation Last covered is the techniques for low altitude ejection.
