Training film for the us military on weather and storms. Using the water in a tank to explain the basics of convection. Also explains the shift in air movement due to the rotation of the earth. The film also explains the High Pressure belts around 30 degrees Latitude, called the sub tropic belt. Also covered is the accumulation of water vapor into the air, and the creation of the tropical rains. The film goes on to explain how the warmed moist air rushing to the poles depletes the atmosphere around the equator, and occasional outbreaks from the dense polar air is required and called cyclones, although this is just a weather term and not the violent storms known by this name.
