Starting with the ingredients, like Nitrate of Soda, brought in crystalline form from south America, and wood pulp, Shows the conversion of these items and others in the manufacture of dynamite. See the creation of the stick form and gelatin dynamite. See the testing procedures used to test the power of the dynamite, and some of the conditions in which it might be used. Learn the proper packing technique for safe transportation. Watch as several loads of Dynamite are used to bring down rock, buildings, and ice, including some underwater demolition.

See the exterior of the mine, and shots of the minors going into the hole. See great shots of the main bottom shaft making for a safer mine. travel along on a coal car, and watch as the rock dust is applied. Learn the specifications of the dust itself, and watch the duster in action. See the rigorous testing done on all samples of the mine dust to assure that a good mix of rock dust is around to inhibit explosions. See Rock dust barriers, specifically the V-type trough barriers. Watch as the trough barriers are tested, and see how they are used.
