Introduced by Director Clarence Kelly, this film takes us on a tour of FBI Headquarters. With a history of the bureau starting with the founding under J. Edgar Hoover. Through the prohibition years, the Lindbergh baby, and the death or capture of John Dillenger, and Machine Gun Kelly, with re-enactments on film. Also in re-enactment
is the landing of German Saboteurs on Long Island. The FBI is charged with the investigation and prevention of kidnapping, terrorism on domestic soil, civil rights crimes, and organized crime. The tour continues around the building, explaining the field offices, Labs, and examiners available for testimony. The Fingerprint files, and the National Crime Information Center, and goes on to the Academy in Quantico, Va. Brief explanation of the process at the academy.

FBI Academy

Tour of the new campus in Quantico, VA. Following a class of international law enforcers - including a police chief, a sheriff, and a civilian from a city prosecutor’s office, a foreign police Lt. and a young detective. The tour then explains the living arraignments of the students, and then continues into the classrooms. With experienced FBI agents as instructors. Also Briefly explains the technology used in the classroom, as teaching aids, including the electronic control podium, with control over audio, video, and stills, and some rooms have an electronic student response capability for immediate results on testing, and feedback on lectures. Gives a few examples of courses offered, including management, and crime scene investigation, photography, and fingerprinting, and self-defense. Tour then moves to the Firing range, for a demonstration of the electronic advancements utilized for scoring, and moving targets. Moving on to the library, focusing on the
complete law library, and the electronic collection of previous lectures, for further study or course make up.

FBI Defense Tactics

A training film on the defensive tactics used by the agents of the FBI - including some very basic principles of Judo, and the parts of the body, useable for attack, and as targets. Including the hip-throw, and finger locks. With several re-enactments to demonstrate dangers. A few demonstrations of disarming an opponent, holding a gun, and a broken bottle / knife or club.

Fundamentals of Double Action Revolver

Video quality is low due to changes in contrast; the video is too light or too dark in places. Tracking jumps out of frame at 12:53 and back in again at 12:58, and again at 13:04 to 13:06 only video is affected.


This training film follows a few students through the firing range,and use of the revolver, including the quick draw, shooting from the hip, and the proper stances, and grip, and the importance of these.Demonstrates barricade shooting, using what is at hand, whether it be cover, or the prone position. Using silhouette targets for more accurate feel to the training. Also demonstrations of the various electronic enhancements to the firing range.
