General introduction to German landmines for the US soldier. Including recognition, explanation of how they work, and the disposal there of. Also common booby traps found with the installations. First a description of the German 43 fuse – and what makes it impossible to defuse. Followed by a description of the differences in the Teller mine 35, 42, and 43. Next is the Riegal mine, and it’s purpose. Then the Glass mine, Followed by the Tilt fuse -may be attached to a trip wire, pitric or "mustard Pot", W-1 mine which is a buried mortar round, and finally a Pressure release mine, which is also impossible to defuse and is commonly buried under another.

Automatic weapons US vs. German

Captured film of the weapons in use followed by a firing range comparison of the

34, 42, and Schmizer, for accuracy and sound against the American comparable types. Though the Germans have a higher rate of fire, the American weapons have better accuracy.

The Sub-machine guns are fired first.

Schmizer against Thompson and M-3 with 20 rounds each.

30 rounds are then fired from the Machine guns starting with the American light 30 from Bi-pod, and the heavy 30 from a tri-pod. A German 34 from bi-pod and the German 42 from tri-pod. Again shows the accuracy of the Americans is superior for the slower rates of fire. Next is an explanation of the typical Machine gun squad , both German and American.. 35 men and 4 guns, plus 8 to carry the ammo, versus the 35 men and 4 guns of the Americans, plus another 8 men and another gun.
